# Project settings

> Configure a funnel project — identity, assessment time limit and report options, the student form & profile, the workflow pane, and the mapped courses or streams.

> **Info**
>
> **Flow type:** `Institution` · **Product:** StudyHQ Portal (team)
>
> **Where:** open your project → sidebar → **Project Settings**. Managed by
> **project admins** — set the assessment rules here **before** you invite
> students.

## The settings panes

Settings opens with its own small sidebar:

| Pane | What lives there |
| ------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **General** | Project identity, assessment settings, report settings, contact, location, danger zone |
| **Workflow** | The funnel's phases, with the ceiling set by your plan |
| **Intake & Profile** | The student form & profile grid and custom fields |
| **Courses** / **Streams** | What the assessment recommends from (read-only) |

## General

**Where:** Project Settings → **General**.

Your project's identity and how the assessment is presented.

| Section | Fields |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Edit project** | Project name, display name (shown to students), website, card image, icon |
| **Assessment settings** | **Time limit** (minutes per attempt) and **Courses to recommend** — how many matches appear on the report |
| **Report settings** | **Show recommendations to students** — if on, the student's report includes their course or stream recommendations; if off, students see their theme scores only (your team always sees the full report) |
| **Contact details** | Contact email and phone, for students to reach your team after the assessment |
| **Location** | Address, city, state, country |
| **Danger zone** | Delete project (permanent — removes its students and data) |

> **Tip**
>
> Upload your **image and icon** here — they brand the student's experience so
> it feels like your institution's.

> **Note**
>
> Some organisations have their general settings **managed by StudyHQ** — a
> banner says so, and edits are rejected. Contact your StudyHQ manager to
> change them.

> **Note**
>
> There is **no attempt cap** in the current assessment flow — the time limit
> governs each sitting, and answers save as the student goes.

## Student form & profile

**Where:** Project Settings → **Intake & Profile**.

The same unified grid agency projects use: for each field, tick whether it's
**collected** when a student is added and whether it's **shown** on their
profile — and mark fields **required**. You can add your own **custom fields**
and choose which field acts as the student's display name.

> **Note**
>
> Fields you mark **required** are enforced in the add-student form and the
> import template. The grade list follows your project's assessment type —
> Grades 11–12 for course recommendation, Grades 8–10 for stream selection.

---

## Workflow

**Where:** Project Settings → **Workflow**.

The workflow pane shows your funnel's phases — joining, assessment, and
enrolment — with the ceiling set by your plan: the **enrolment** phase is
available when your plan grants it, and counselling phases would appear only
if a future plan included counselling.

---

## Courses or Streams

**Where:** Project Settings → **Courses** (course-recommendation projects) or
**Streams** (stream-selection projects).

What the assessment recommends from — read-only in project settings:

* **Course-recommendation projects** show the mapped **courses**. Course fits
are ranked from this set, and it caps how many recommendations the report
  can show.
* **Stream-selection projects** show the **streams** the assessment can
  recommend.

## API access

For integrations (a CRM or admissions portal generating assessment links via
the API), project **access tokens** are issued during onboarding by the
StudyHQ team — see the **Integration Guide → Quick Start**. They are not
self-served from this page.
