Getting started
Flow type: Institution · Product: StudyHQ Portal (team)
The Portal is the web app where your team sets up and runs the funnel. This page covers signing in, the Organisations landing page, and creating an organisation and a project.
Open the Portal and sign in with your work email. If you were invited by a colleague, accept the email invite first, then sign in with that same address.
After signing in you land on the Organisations page — your home base.
The Organisations page
This page lists every organisation you belong to, and under each one, its projects as cards.
One block per organisation you’re a member of, with its name and type.
Each project shows a quick stat line and opens its dashboard when clicked.
What a project card shows. For a funnel project, the card carries a small stat line — Leads · Assessed · Enrolled — so you can read the funnel at a glance without opening it.
The card stats are role-scoped: admins and members see project-wide totals; a partner sees only the students they added.
Things you can do from here:
Click a project card to open its dashboard. (Anyone in the project.)
Branding, team & billing for the organisation. (Org admins.)
Create a new institution. (Org admins.)
Create an Assessment funnel project inside an organisation. (Org admins.)
Add an organisation
An organisation is your institution. Only an org admin can create one.
A newly created organisation lands pending approval — StudyHQ reviews it before it goes live. While the “Awaiting approval” banner shows, you can look around and configure, but students can’t be added yet.
Add a project
A project is one funnel run inside the organisation. For an institution the project type is Assessment funnel — the admissions / course-fit funnel.
Each funnel project runs one assessment type — course recommendation (Grades 11–12) or stream selection (Grades 8–10) — set up with StudyHQ when the project is provisioned. The add-student form, dashboard, and enrolment decision all follow that mode.
Right after creating the project, open its settings to set the assessment time limit and courses to recommend before you invite students — see Project settings.
Finding your way around
Open a project and the left sidebar carries your pages — what you see depends on your role:
Organisation-level pages — Projects · Billing · Team · Settings — live in the organisation menu, visible to org admins. The header holds the project switcher and your account menu, with your role shown next to your name.
Every operation in this guide starts with its path — for example Students → Add student — so you always know where to click first.
Your account
Where: the menu under your name in the header → My account.
Edit your own name and mobile, and change your password. Your email is fixed (it’s your sign-in identity).
What’s next
